Free Verse Editions: A Brief History

I'm the founding editor of Free Verse Editions.

Free Verse Editions is a single-author poetry series specializing in perfect-bound, original collections of (mainly) contemporary poetry in handsomely- produced editions. All of the books are designed by David Blakesley.  Launched in 2005, and published by Parlor Press, Free Verse Editions has more than 50 titles on its list. While particularly interested in formally-innovative poetry, Free Verse Editions represent a wide variety of aesthetic practices, each marked by a singular poetic intelligence. The series is also known for its original translations.

Free Verse Editions is committed to publishing 3-5 collections of poetry per year. Titles can be purchased at any online vendor and can be ordered by any brick-and-mortar bookshop.
